My name is Sarah and I am the event coordinator for Fun Flight @ Point Cook, on behalf of the Point Cook Flying Club.  Over the last three years we have run this event at Point Cook and seen nearly 600 children and their families who have been touched by adversity, go for the flight of their lives.  This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, as we aim to take 500 children and their families flying from the RAAF base at Point Cook. In order to make this happen we rely on volunteers and donations.  Everyone involved in the event from the pilots, to team that turn sausages give up their time to make this an amazing day for our families.  We can always use more volunteers on the day, so if you have some time to spare on Saturday 9th November, we would love to have you onboard.  Unfortunately, the reality of running an event like this on such a large scale, is that we need to have it funded and that is where you come in. We are looking for donations – large or small; cash or products that we can use.  Currently we have a mycause page, which can be found at – https://www.mycause.com.au/page/210813/point-cook-flying-club and any donations made through that page are tax deductable.
